Manchester Pride Weekend

The August Bank Holiday weekend is nearly upon us, and this long break from work also sees the return of the Manchester Pride event.

Manchester Pride has been going since 2003, and now spans a full ten days of main Pride events, from acts such as singer/songwriter Patrick Wolf to dance acts such as Hed Kandi’s Phoebe D’Abo. This year has seen Pride Fringe run alongside the main festival for a full month, with events such as the Great Village Bake Off and performances from Ennio Marchetto.

Last year’s event raised £52,000 for LGBT and HIV related good causes. manchester Pride is one of the few LGBT festivals that has dedicated its profits to charities across the North West and in Manchester.

The event is hugely popular, and last year thousands of people lined the streets to watch the Pride Parade. If you are planning a visit to Manchester Pride, it might be a good idea to get into the city ahead of time and get parked safely and securely in one of our excellent car parking facilities.

The nearest facility is at 75 Dale Street, with the tram stop at Piccadilly Gardens if you don’t want to walk. All of our Manchester car parks are located close to travel links such as trams and buses.
