Introducing Leeds Dock Market
Over the past few months, Clarence Dock has really started to begin its transformation into Leeds Dock.
Launching on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of November, it'll bring dockside market stalls, award-winning street food, live music and pop up bar that has a range of exciting cocktails and real ales.
There'll be a huge selection of items to purchase from independent Yorkshire brands, locally sourced food and ingredients, and a vast array of gift ideas. Why not get down early and get some of your quirky Christmas presents early this year?
Project Coordinator Lucy Whalley says “After the success of events at Leeds Dock throughout the summer, we feel a monthly market will be a great addition to our events calendar. The Leeds Dock Market will combine elements of markets we have experienced and enjoyed from around the world, live music, street food, great local produce, fantastic ales and interesting gift. There's something to entertain every member of the family. With the support of Leeds City Council and Leeds City Markets, the market will showcase the best of our region and hopefully become a real destination event for people in Leeds and further afield.”
If you're walking to Leeds Dock from Leeds city centre, you can follow the Market trail from the Corn Exchange. An exciting alternative would be to hitch a ride on the free water taxi, which will be running from Granary Wharf all weekend.
There'll also be a whole host of children's entertainers between 10am and 12pm to entertain the kids. Don't forget that you can always swing by the Royal Armouries afterwards to make a day out of it.
Alongside a range of events including movie showings, pop up restaurants, and stylish water taxis, this November sees the introduction of the Leeds Dock Market.
Leeds Dock Market will also be returning on December 6th and 7th, as well as the last weekend of every month in 2015 from 10am to 4pm.
