Photography exhibition at Leeds train station

Leeds train station has a unique treat for commuters this week, with a special exhibition of beautiful UK landscapes taking place until Saturday 22 June.

The exhibition opened yesterday and features work from the last 6 years of the Take a View Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.

The top prize for the competition is £10,000 and entries for this year are set to close in 16 days. There is even a Young Photographer prize so that those aged under 17 can submit their images and win up to £1000.

The show kicked off at Manchester Piccadilly station last week and has now moved on to Leeds where visitors can see the stunning images for the next week before they move on to Glasgow.

Network Rail sponsor the competition and are delighted that past entries are being displayed at railway stations across the country, hoping they will brighten up passengers and perhaps even encourage them to take snaps of their own!

If you'd like to catch the exhibition at Leeds train station you can find the show on the main concourse, underneath the live departure boards.

If you decide to drive then our car park at 7 Whitehall Road has weekend parking for Leeds train station for just £3.00 all day.
