The Watford Big Beach
Something BIG is coming to Watford!
Saturday 25 July sees the launch of Watford’s Big Beach! Just in time for summer, The Big Beach will see The Parade by the pond transformed in to a sandy haven. So relax, soak up the sun and enjoy the programme of fun-packed activities that will be taking place across the 7 days.
The Big Beach opens at 11am Saturday morning. A taster yoga session from Feel Hot Yoga is first on the activity list, followed by a workout from the team at Everyone Active. The evening welcomes Oceana’s resident DJs with Ibiza Sessions: a chance to relax to the smooth sounds of Ibiza whilst getting tipsy on jam jar cocktails.
During the week audiences can enjoy the sounds of the Macclesfield Youth Brass Band and a Pirate Party presented by Fizz Kids, complete with a fancy dress competition, games and a pirate magic show. After this there’ll be a sea creature art work shop! What monsters from the deep will you create?
Get zen with a mid week Tai Chi workshop from The Dan Tien before going head to head with your friends or colleagues in the Tug of War Championship! There will be plenty of prizes to be won, so bring your A game!
The week closes with Surfboard Sunday. Ride the wave and see how you do on Big Beach’s surfboard simulator!
