German Christmas Market comes to Leeds
It’s that time of year again and we’re excited! The German Christmas Market brings a taste of Germany to Leeds.
Once again, Millennium Square has been transformed into a German themed winter wonderland featuring over 40 traditional wooden chalet stalls decorated from top to bottom in festive greenery, sparking lights, as well an array of themed indoor venues and the classic Christmas carousel ride.
Bringing elements of the ever popular festive markets from across the continent, the Leeds German Christmas Market brings a festive shopping experience to the city that’s second to none with a variety of stalls selling gifts, decorations, toys and jewellery. Don’t forget the festive food and delicious drinks that’ll be on offer at the market too. With a selection of traditional German delicacies including gluhwein, bratwurst sausages, schnitzel, goulash, stollen, gingerbread, roasted nuts and candied fruits.
The Frankfurter Scheune festival hall, Alp Chalet Bavarian eatery, and Kuh Stall have returned offering visitors a relaxing and fun environment to drink German beer and eat delicious food.
If you’re planning on bringing the kids to the German Christmas Market, there’s a weekly children’s event being held in the Frankfurter Scheune every Sunday morning from 10.30am to 12.30m featuring music, games, face painting and costume characters. Kids can get involved in fun bakery and arts and crafts sessions too.
The German Christmas Market is open Monday – Saturday 10.30am to 9.30pm.
Sundays are open 10.30am to 6.30pm.
