Cupid's Park & Guide

Valentine's Day is almost here!

Whether you’re flying solo or a loved up duo, Cupid and the CitiPark team have been hard at work, picking out our favourite places to eat, things to do and sights to see over the romantic season.

Take a look at our choice picks below for Leeds, Watford, Manchester and London:

Leeds

Surprise your other half with a taste of Chinese cuisine and head to Tattu. If you book for Sunday 10th February, you can enjoy some of your favourite romantic films paired with a three-course menu and dessert cocktail for just £40.

Single? No problem. Enjoy a night of fun and flirting at Chino Latino with Fastlove as they host the leading speed dating event for professionals. If romance isn’t your thing, there are some great alternative ways to spend Valentine’s Weekend. Physicist Brian Cox will be taking to the stage at first direct arena on February 14th to offer an insight into the magical workings of nature.

Watford

Spice up Valentine’s Day with a Taste of Lahore – authentic Indian cuisine that’ll set both sparks and your taste buds alight. Watford Colosseum is the next port of call, with a number of excellent events to be enjoyed. Our top pick is comedian Ricky Gervais' Supernature: Warm-Up Show. If neither of the above tickles your fancy, why not head to Cassiobury Park for a romantic afternoon walk.

London

Head to East London's hotspot, The Hoxton, on Sunday 17th February for a sensuous screening of Call Me By Your Name. Nominated for Best Picture at the 2017 Oscars, this tale of first love is both beautiful and tragic, and certainly not one to be missed.

The infamous Madame Tussauds is obviously a must if you’re in the area. Pay a visit and say hello to the latest additions to the waxworks family – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex!

If romantic films aren’t your thing, head to Regent’s Park for a scenic afternoon stroll and finish the day at one of many delicious cafes or restaurants. If the weather is good, we recommend The Garden Cafe in Regent’s Park. Failing that, head to Rare Steakhouse & Brasserie for a perfectly cooked, succulent steak.

Manchester

One of the biggest and most bustling cities in the UK, Manchester is in no short supply of activities for you to enjoy this Valentine’s weekend. If you fancy a cheeky chuckle, catch The Full Monty at the Opera House. Alternatively, head to the Odeon cinema and take your pick from the heart-warming 'Green Book' to the thrilling 'Glass'.

If you fancy a bite to eat after, Chez Mal is only a couple of minutes away, offering steaks and classic dishes with a modern global twist – a perfect way to end the day.
